Your Role
As a Product Owner at backbone.one, you'll lead the evolution of Renablr®, our innovative white-label product. Renablr® transforms businesses into green energy providers, enabling efficient management, production, and trading of renewable energy. Collaborating closely with our team of product and tech experts, you'll lead the management of Renablr® and guide its development across all stages of the product lifecycle.
You are responsible for
- Drive the product roadmap, prioritizing feature development based on customer needs and market trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Frontend and Backend Developers, Research Engineers, UI/UX Designers, and Product and Marketing Experts
- Gather product requirements, working with the VP Technology & Engineering to plan the roadmap and the UI/UX Designer to define features
- Translate business needs into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria for implementation
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify innovation opportunities
- Gather feedback from stakeholders to refine product features and ensure alignment with business goals
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review meetings to drive product development
- Ensure product quality and usability through thorough testing and validation
- Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to support product launches and customer adoption efforts
Skills we are looking for
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, ideally within the technology or energy sectors.
- Experience with digital transformation and WebApps implementation is advantageous
- Strong grasp of agile methodologies and demonstrated experience in agile development environments
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at collaborating with diverse teams
- Passion for renewable energy and a curiosity about energy tariffs, communities, storage, and peer-to-peer trading
- Analytical mindset, proficient in utilizing data for informed decision-making
- Results-driven approach, committed to delivering high-quality products that address customer needs
- Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and tight timelines
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Language proficiency: Fluent in English (company language), German proficiency is a plus
